Howard - This is good intro, but we need to see that whole interface doing what it does. The crux of this project is making that interface operable, even for a demo. In other words, you can set up the demo like you did here, but we should be able to enter a part of the flash demo that lets us play with the app ( your not making the real “App” your just demonstrating the interface in use)

As Dan says, that's pretty much on the spot. But I guess the best thing to do here is to build your UI for one specific location. Let's say... Pasadena, CA, or something... and show us what the user will experience when he or she gets to your screen.
Other than that, it looks very much marketable. It's just a bit expensive to make, but it's appealing.
